Won’t You Be My Friend and Neighbor in Our Friendly Little Town?

(just something written for social media posts, specific for our progressive but sometimes divided little town)

If you intend to be my friend or neighbor you must sign a loyalty oath to agree to belong, though if you find in reading it that you do not concur, I have to say, you cannot stay, you’ll have to move along,

In which case, I will call you names on facebook, I may even have to block you, you wouldn’t be the only one, who when we cross paths in person I won’t look at or speak to. No worries, I won’t shoot you; I don’t have a gun.

Not yet. Sign it, doesn’t matter if you’re black, brown or white, rich or poor, or what, if any, religion you practice, if you were born male or female, though age, might, I admit. These things may come up another time, though lib’s my status,

some things don’t bother me now but might later. Importantly, make sure you vote, as long as your choice matches mine. In addition, it’s important you agree you won’t disagree with any party policies, as discontent will openly undermine

votes of others or cause members of the other party to be satisfied, You must vote the way I do on local topics, you must like my posts and post comments saying pointed things about those on the Other Side, and put backstopping signs on your front lawn for local issues, most

difficult, don’t talk with any family, friends or neighbors whose views are different from mine. I mean yours. Let’s regroup soon over coffee, not tea, and have a talk about choosing a name, colors and tatts for this newly forming gang, I mean group.
