Freeverse with some semi-rhymes
If you find yourself frequently talking to
others about somebody else, about something
they’ve often or recently said or done,
rolling your eyes as you describe how
they overreact or are too
sensitive, then go into detail
as you tell of some incident that had
happened between the two of you as
you emphasize what was said or done,
mimicking the tone of voice used, even
repeating words that were said, maybe
shaking your head as you do so, with an
end result meant to be for others to
agree it was them and not you who
was wrong, even if the other is a
beloved friend or family member,
even if you smiled as you spoke and
even if you ended by adding in
a sweet tone “well, you know how he or she is”,
you might think a bit more deeply about who
you are and what you are truly revealing
about who when you do this.
Redacted version
My not so well-done version of the redacted, or blackout, poem. With more interesting words, the end result could be a poem with fewer words that has, perhaps, the same meaning as the first. This is my first attempt at a redacted poem, though, so I think, not bad.

Fill in the blanks version
This is a (satirical) version of the poem, where the reader can fill in the blanks and make their own poem. Reminiscent of days gone by, with Mad-Libs, for those who might not have liked the more serious tone of the original poem.
